Our Third Birthday
15th March 2008

The third birthday celebration of the Scarlett O’Hatters was held at the Me Wah Chinese Restaurant and we were not disappointed.  The food was exquisite and the service impeccable.
 
Jennie Holmes a' Hatter had made a fabulous birthday cake for the occasion, and I ordered one from the Golden Tulip Patisserie next door, and it was spectacular ...although the 'purple' frosting looked more blue than purple.  It was delicious, and as true Red Hatters, we had that FIRST, before starting our seven-course banquet.  By the time we got to the Me Wah's fabulous dessert, served with Jennie's cake - our tummies were protesting, but some valiantly managed to plough their way through.  

I'm sure that everyone who went will look forward to another opportunity to dine at Me Wah.   It was an opportunity to dress up too, and the fascinators were lovely and varied.  I MUST get one! The left-over cake was presented to the staff, who were most pleased, in lieu of a tip.  We now look forward to another year of red hatting.
