Hobart City Council Christmas Pageant

What a
fabulous day we had at the Christmas Pageant!
Our Tasmanian weather lived up to its
name and was as unpredictable as ever, but luckily remained
fine except for a slight drizzle just before the Parade
started.
27 Scarletts turned out in all their
glory and may I say that everyone looked absolutely
amazing!
We shone, we sparkled, we glittered, we
smiled, we waved and the crowd loved us! And our message
came across loud and clear that women can still be “fabulous
after 50” and that having fun and enjoying life is not just
about being young.

A lovely “high tea” assortment of
sandwiches, fresh scones jam and cream, and assorted cakes
waited for us at the Grand Chancellor, with enough left over
for some Scarletts to take home a “plate”.

Extra
special thanks go to Jester JennieH for all her hard work in
bringing it all together and making it our best Pageant
presence ever.
Vice Queen
Sandra and I were called-on to help
during the last couple of months, and can now appreciate
just how much planning went into making this all come
together. Well done, Jennie – an amazing feat!
A special thank you also to:-
Vice Queen Duchess Dragonfly SandraJ for
the use of her gorgeous purple PT Cruiser and for arranging
Andrew’s red one to be part of our parade too. Didn’t they
both look spectacular!
AnneW for organizing the lunch,
collecting the money from everyone AND for managing
to obtain a substantial discount for us!

Duchess of Windsor MargaretZ for
decorating lots of the items we had on loan from the HCC and
for making “bell bracelets” to wear.
Our
Bruny Island ladies for making a special effort to get up
early, catch the ferry, drive up from Kettering and join
us. We loved seeing you!
3 ladies from the Sorell Chapter (who
also joined us). It was lovely to meet them and have them
share the day with us.
All the other “behind the scenes”
helpers.
But most of all – I want to say thank you
to all the Scarletts who attended – it was lovely to see and
chat to you all - and thanks for supporting our Red Hat
Chapter.
Chris,
Queen Quistabella
