Farewell Phyllis - The Blue None
Phyllis - The Blue None
We had a most wonderful luncheon at the Shoreline
Hotel to say farewell to The Blue None, Phyllis. Thirty Scarlett
O'Hatters attended the lunch to pass on their very best wishes to
Phyllis for her future endeavours as she enters the community of the
Benedictine Abbey.

Having known her for about 20 years, Crown
Princess Mary spoke about some memorable moments with Phyllis before
handing over to Queen Joann to make a presentation on behalf of The
Scarlett O'Hatters. The gift chosen for Sister Phyllis Mary was a
scholarly tome which she will be studying, and will keep as her
personal possession. With the money left over after purchasing this
book, Phyllis will put it towards a new crucifix. Phyllis has been
a vibrant member of our Chapter of Red Hat Ladies with her bubbly
nature and smiling face, she will be missed sorely. If you would
like to see where Phyllis will be living, click on the interesting
web site below.

Phyllis has invited us to visit her at the
Benedictine Abbey in Jamberoo NSW, where cottages are available at
no cost! Sister Phyllis Mary would be able to chat with us (more
than the 30-60 minutes per day she's usually allowed). I think this
would make a wonderful trip for the Scarletts - and maybe some other
points of interest too! Say in about a year or so! If you have
interest in this, please let me know so that we can consider it more
seriously. Thank you for making it a special day for Phyllis.
