Cornelian Bay Boathouse
Friday 11
September 2009 was
Second Friday lunch
at the Fine Dining
Boathouse Restaurant at Cornelian Bay,
and a convivial time was enjoyed by all. A beautiful
restaurant in a beautiful setting looking out over the
Derwent River towards the Tasman Bridge and the quaint
heritage listed boat sheds We were greeted by some
cheeky little imps tapping on the window, they must have
been intrigued with all the red and purple. The venue
chosen by
Goddess Barbara
was particularly
special to
Baroness Strelitzia Reginae - Vivienne
as her son Kurt Denman is one of the chefs providing the exceptional
menu. Being a fine dining experience allowed us time between
courses to chat and catch up with one another and discuss
the exciting events coming up on the calendar.
We welcomed two
new members,
Julie A
and
Barbara H,
who we hope will have as much fun with this wonderful
organisation of sister hood as the rest of us do.
Queen Joann
confounded everyone by wearing a purple hat and red clothes,
Remember we reverse our colours when it is our birthday
month. Others celebrating birthdays this month
with Joann are
Tawdry Audrey
and Karen
Kountess de Klepto So
happy birthday to our red hat sisters we hope you have
an enjoyable birthdaay month. It is a particularly busy month for our
Queen as she is helping the Soroptimists celebrate their
60th anniversary and then is off overseas to cruise the
Mediterranean with fellow Scarlett O'Hatter
Princess
Papillon Sue.
It was good to
see Kristin
Laird of Campster -Christine
back from her travels. Also having returned home but
unable to attend lunch was
Contessa de
Sparkle Rik.
Glad to see you home again ladies.
