Brunch at Sal’s Salamanca
The Knitting Room
Exhibition at the Long Gallery Salamanca Place. Presented by
Uniting Aged Care, The Australian Women's Health Network and
Salamanca Arts Centre. Residents of Strathaven, an aged care
home run by Uniting Aged Care, began the project in 2003.
Tasmanians
have combined their talents, and memories, to knit, stitch and
crochet a magnificent life-size walk thru display reminiscent of
a 1950s home. Visitors to the exhibition are transported back to
an era when the young, newly crowned Queen Elizabeth toured
Australia and Elvis was king!
